NCCPT certified Personal Trainer, Group Fitness Instructor and Weight Management Specialist.
Heather joined Great Lakes CrossFit in September 2015 to be part of a like-minded community. She was already in great shape had a well rounded fitness routine, but she quickly discovered that crossfit programming highlighted all of her weaknesses, which served as motivation to make improvements. Heather has been a certified personal trainer for 16 years, and likes to challenge and encourage others to challenge themselves. She believes there’s nothing as rewarding as watching the evolution of new members as they gain self confidence with every new skill and seeing the evidence that fitness affects so much more than the physical body. Her favorite workout is Cindy and she loves squat cleans, pull-ups and handstand pushups. Despite being described as a physical powerhouse, Heather admits that she has a never-ending fear of failure. Her 2017 goal is to compete in her first Olympic Lifting competition. Heather is mother of 4 children and perpetually engaged to her best friend. She likes to cook and bake. She’s run 4 marathons and a gazillion 5Ks (yes, that's a number). She knits and crochets at night to relax, and admits that she’s quite possibly the world's worst singer.
