Come to Great Lakes CrossFit on March 16 at 11:00 am for an amazing Workout and support Team Kai and Food Allergy Research and Education walk. The workout is open to anyone interested and will be scaled for all ability levels. In return, we are asking for a small donation to this worthy cause. Kai was diagnosed with life threatening allergies to dairy, egg, wheat, peanuts, and tree nuts at onl…y seven months old. He had a severe anaphylactic reaction to a piece of toast when he was only 20 months, which warranted an overnight stay in Children’s Hospital. Since then, his family has been committed to educating themselves and others regarding how serious food allergies can be to individuals. Now, he is an outgoing 5 ½ year old boy who loves life! The mission of FARE is to ensure the safety and inclusion of individuals with food allergies, while relentlessly seeking a cure. The 67 FARE walks nationwide are FARE’s largest source of revenue to help pursue this mission.
