squat snatch

Here is another good video to watch before coming in.

If you do not have a lot of experience with this movement, you will work on technique.  You can also choose to work on a power snatch after you have spent enough time working on the squat snatch.  Make no mistake, we are looking to get as heavy as possible on the squat snatch, but we are looking for good technique.  That means landing underneath the bar with straight arms, locked out.  This is not like the open workout when we were allowed to catch with bent arms and press out.
